How to write an email for prospecting a client

OK. You are a freelancer, you want to earn money or more money to make your ends meet, right? And for that purpose you need to approach prospective customers who can hire you and pay you well. You can do work but before you get work you need to reach out to the market, meet prospective employers and ask them for work, tell them what you can give.

Every client who you will try prospecting is not going to become your customer for any and many reasons.

Email is one of the best ways to reach a client. It's one of the most effective methods to show up without causing disturbances. No person will take you to a legal court for an unexpected email. It's the same like between movies you see advertisements. How many people really want to see those ads between a good movie, but it happens, after all theatres need business.

Internet is full of articles with headlines like

How to write an email for prospecting a client?

How to write the first email to a prospective client?

How long will your first email be?

What answers does your email give to a potential customer?

There are many ideas, every person has a say. When you search you will get the answer, in fact many answers, but oftentimes your query is unresolved or you follow some steps from those beautifully written articles that take you nowhere.

In fact, if you take any advice as it is, perhaps it won't work for you. You can take ideas and then modify them according to your needs.

To begin conversation with a client write a simple email not more than 2/3 lines without beautification. Ensure that you must mention in those lines your name, your location, work hours, education level, expertise and experience.

Those few words should be conveyed properly so the readers of your email know

Why have you tried to reach them?

What do you have on offer?

And

How much are they in need of a person like you?

Remember, it's a cold email, if you get a reply jump start your conversation.
